California Compliant XD`s
To help XD owners that live in the state of California we have created a database of compliant XD pistols.
All information has been gathered from the Office of the Attorney General from the State of California. We
have made every effort to be 100% accurate but the list is ever changing. The purpose of this page is not
to give legal advise only to make it easier to locate information on XD pistols. So please also contact your
local California Govt official to get the most up to date information.

  • Office of the Attorney General State of California website:    www.cerguns.doj.ca.gov
  • The Law:    Effective January 1, 2001 no handgun may be manufactured within California, imported into California for sale, lent, given, kept for sale, or offered/exposed for sale unless that handgun model has passed firing, safety, and drop tests and is certified for sale in California by the Department of Justice.
  • Decertified Pistols:    Handgun models whose certification has expired or otherwise removed from the Roster. These models may no longer be sold, offered for sale, or manufactured in California.

  • Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale:    Handgun models will be removed from the roster on the list expiration date unless the manufacturer renews the listing prior to the list expiration date.
